Hat allows you to control a robot
The article describes a hat that detects brain signals from scalp sensors (rather than implanted electrodes). Those signals are then used to control devices:
Thinking hat for directing movements in robot
From the article: "The technology detects brain waves by using electrodes placed at strategic points on the scalp. They are positioned over brain areas, known to be involved in moving specific body parts. The computer can then distinguish between signals corresponding to different types of movement.
Previously, accurate detection of local brain activity has required electrodes to be implanted in the brain. This technique has allowed recipients to control robots and even send e-mails."

This could also be the very beginning of virtual space. Of course, I would image this is much more expensive than the upcoming game consoles.
I've been hearing about this technology for quite some time now, but never see it implimated in the real world.
Hype for funding, then we'll see it 7 years down the line. This system frustrates me. 1958-1969 for getting on the moon, we we can't get technology on the ground running. Maybe this belongs in your sadtech blog lol

Can anyone enable a core dump on these sad bastard spammers? or send a 50,000 volt charge to their server? Puhleeeeeeze!
I see MB has put up an anti-spam verifier. That's good. Hopefully in the future computers will simply know what is spam and just reject it.
I just wanted to say, I would love someone to come up with a bluetooth mouse based on this technology, it'd be awesome.
Oh, and as for the spammer, that ruining these comments, lets send a security bot with a shock device attached, to hunt him down!
